Netgear is a company that has been innovating networking products for home users and businesses for many years. They make connecting with people easy, and improve with each new release. They even boast of having the world’s fastest router, both for streamers and gamers alike. Today we will be looking at the Nighthawk X10.
I have reviewed quite a bit of 802.11 routers lately including Mesh networking systems and newer tri-band routers. With the release of the Nighthawk x10 though, this is something new to the industry as it is the first 802.11ad router. The big fuss about 802.11ad is it offers 2.4GHZ & 5GHZ AC wireless but it can also operate on a 60GHz band, This can theoretically deliver up to 7GBs across all three. Let’s see if the new ad technology can help deliver real world performance improvements over Wireless AC technology.

This makes the silent 12 very versatile and also offers a low premium price. Let’s see if this cooler has what it takes to bring the performance levels at its low cost and if installation over AM4 offers any new improvements.

I have had the pleasure of working with several GPUs throughout my lifetime. I have mostly stuck with Nvidia over the years but did bounce back and forth between AMD and NVidia. Since the launch of Ryzen, I have started liking AMD again. XFX has always been a company I had been eager to check out because of their business model. XFX has a company motto of not just “making great digital components but rather mind-blowing video cards with crushing performance”. XFX is a division of PINE Technology which is a manufacturer of gaming technologies. Today we will be looking at their latest solution from AMD, the RX 580. The 580 is a refresh of the 480, but with the launch of AMD “Vega” on the horizon can this card still find a place in the market? Let’s see if the 580 has anything new to offer Gamers and enthusiasts looking to upgrade their not so old RX 400 series cards.

Intel has provided small incremental updates of improvements called “Tick/Tock” and We have not seen an AMD performance part capable of standing up against Intel’s top chips until now.
Today we will be looking at AMDs enthusiasts parts the Ryzen 7 lineup which could provide an impressive comeback. Zen was teased last year and it was promised that we would see performance gains over Intel’s best efforts. Zen also promised to bring a new socket type called AM4 with a new core logic.
Now that Ryzen has been released we will be looking at how to overclock the R7 1700 on an x370 chipset and this should apply to the other R7 parts the 1700x and 1800x as well.
